June 9, 2020 – Popular coffee chain Dutch Bros Coffee is preparing to expand into Albuquerque with several new locations.
The first Albuquerque location is slated to be built at 700 Coors NW, near Fortuna, according to the company spokeswoman Rilynn Davis.
She said location is scheduled to open in early 2021.
“We’re so excited to be building more in New Mexico and Albuquerque,” Davis wrote in an email.
Davis said there are plans to build more Dutch Bros locations in Albuquerque but said she is unable to share where those locations will be.
However, the company filed two separate building permits with the city of Albuquerque on June 2 for locations at 1105 Juan Tabo NE and 1108 Juan Tabo NE .
The Coors location will be the third New Mexico location for the company which has nearly 400 locations throughout the West Coast and Southwest.
Earlier this year the chain opened its first location in the state in Rio Rancho at the Petroglyph Medical Plaza near Unser and Wellspring.
The company also began construction on a second location in Rio Rancho this spring. That shop is scheduled to open in the fall.
The Oregon-based chain was founded in 1992 and is the “country’s largest privately held drive-thru coffee company,” according to the company’s website.
