February 17th, 2022 – The way Rob Holland sees it, it’s time for consumers across the country to trade out their canned green chile for the real thing.
And with a recent deal with more than 4,400 Walmart stores across the U.S., the executive chairman for 505 Southwestern’s parent company — Flagship Food Group— will get his wish.
In March, 505 Southwestern announced its signature jarred “Flame Roasted Green Chile” product, will be sold in almost all Walmart stores across the country. Other 505 Southwestern products will be available in Walmart stores, including a line of green chile sauces, salsa and other products. The rollout will occur over the next several months.
“We’re really excited about that,” Holland told Albuquerque Business First.
The deal comes after 505 Southwestern made what Holland called a “seven-figure” investment in its Albuquerque manufacturing facility. He declined to disclose the exact dollar amount.
